Barcelona's star Lionel Messi has recovered from his injury and returned to the Blaugrana's training session on Monday.

Barcelona official twitter page posted some photos for the Argentina captain in the training session as they are preparing for Inter Milan clash at the Uefa Champion League, to be held at Camp Nou on Wednesday, October 2.

The Argentinian was making his first appearance with the Spanish League winners, but he only lasted for 45 minutes, before being replaced by Ousmane Dembele. The 32-year-old did not participate with his team since the pre-season as he suffered a calf injury.

The Argentina captain won the FIFA Best Men’s Player award for 2019, defeating Liverpool and Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk and fierce rival Cristiano Ronaldo to win the iconic award.

Messi was seen on the substitute’s bench of the Blaugrana‘s encounters against Borussia Dortmund, and Granada as he continued his recovery.

In August, Messi was named as the Uefa Forward of the Season for the fifth time after scoring more goals than anyone else in the competition last season.

It is worth mentioning that Barcelona were pooled in Group alongside Borussia Dortmund. Inter Milan, and Slavia Prague.

Barca are set to face Inter Milan in the second round of Champions League group stage as they held kicked off their adventure in the tournament with a goalless draw versus Borussia Dortmund
