Martyrdom of Palestinian ruler Muhammad Khattab


The Palestinian Football Association officially announced today, Wednesday, the martyrdom of international referee Muhammad Khattab during an Israeli bombing that targeted his home in the city of Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Football Association officially announced today, Wednesday, the martyrdom of international referee Muhammad Khattab during an Israeli bombing that targeted his home in the city of Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Football Association published an official statement on its website and Twitter account, stating, “International referee Muhammad Khattab and his family members were martyred in an Israeli bombing of their house.”

The Palestinian Federation’s statement added a letter from an international referee approved since 2020, and he participated in managing a number of Asian and Arab championships.

The President of the AFC, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, expressed his deep sadness and shock over the crime.

International referee Khattab was martyred alongside his mother, wife, and four children, in addition to a number of his family members, during an Israeli bombing that targeted his home in the Gaza Strip.

Khattab is considered one of the referees approved by the Asian and International Football Confederations since 2010, where he participated in officiating several matches in the Arab and Asian championships.

Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, mourned the Palestinian referee, saying: I feel deep sadness and shock when I learned of the shocking death of Muhammad Khattab and his family. We stand united with the Palestinian Football Association in mourning this great loss.
