Manchester City have officially completed the signing of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain, with the 26-year-old putting pen to paper on a contract that runs until 2030, subject to international clearance.
Donnarumma arrives at the Etihad with a reputation as one of Europe’s elite goalkeepers. Standing at 6ft 5in, he combines physical presence with years of top-level experience, having already amassed over 250 appearances for AC Milan before moving to PSG in 2021.
During his four seasons in Paris, he helped the club secure four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, and three Trophée des Champions.
Speaking after the move, Donnarumma said:
"Signing for Manchester City is a very proud and special moment for me. This is a club every player dreams of joining, led by one of the greatest managers in football, Pep Guardiola. Playing at the Etihad will be a huge honor, and I can’t wait to meet my new teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans. I promise to give everything to help the club achieve more success."
Donnarumma began his career at AC Milan, making his senior debut at just 16 and helping the Rossoneri to win the Italian Super Cup in 2016. Now, after four trophy-laden seasons in France, he is set to begin a new chapter in England with the reigning Premier League champions.
