Lebanese Singer Majida El Roumi had a meeting with Pope Tawadros II, pope of Alexandria and patriarch of the See of St. Mark, on Saturday.
The meeting discussed the role of religion and arts, and how arts can serve the needs of society.
On his side, Pope Tawadros II praised the ties between Egypt and Lebanon, and the care of the Coptic Church for Lebanon.
He also expressed that the church prays for Lebanon for the emergence of peace in Lebanon and the Middle East.
On her side, El Roumi expressed her love for Egypt and praised the Egyptian people's hospitality.
The meeting was attended by Pope Botrus Danial, the head of the Catholic Center Cinema Festival.
