Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reaffirmed the country's full support for Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
During a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Madbouly stressed the importance of backing Lebanon’s state institutions and called for Israel’s full withdrawal from South Lebanon in line with UN Resolution 1701.
He congratulated Salam on forming the new Lebanese government and wished Lebanon peace and stability.
The two leaders also discussed the latest developments in South Lebanon and efforts to uphold the ceasefire agreement.
