Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly made, on Sunday, a phone call to Dr. Nawaf Salam, Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate.
During the call, Madbouly congratulated Dr. Salam on securing the confidence of the majority of Lebanese Parliament members and being entrusted with forming the new Lebanese government.
He expressed his best wishes for success in fulfilling his duties during this critical period.
Moreover, PM reaffirmed Egypt's full support for Lebanon's stability and pledged to back the Lebanese government’s efforts in achieving security, prosperity, and sustainable development.
In response, Salam expressed gratitude for the congratulatory message and Egypt’s kind sentiments, highlighting Lebanon's appreciation for Egypt’s positive role, influence, and leadership in the region.
He further emphasized his government's commitment to working closely with the Egyptian government to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
