French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Friday that he will host Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Paris on March 28.
The announcement was made in a post on X, where Macron discussed the contents of a recent phone conversation with Lebanese Prime Minister (PM) Nawaf Salam, congratulating him on his efforts with the government to strengthen Lebanon’s unity, security, and stability.
"We discussed the prospects for reconstruction and the necessary reforms required. This work is essential for Lebanon and the entire region," Macron stated.
He further emphasized that France’s commitment to Lebanon remains unwavering, both for the country's recovery and sovereignty.
