French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his country's readiness to assist in the rescue efforts for the victims of the Morocco earthquake on Saturday.

Macron, who was en route to New Delhi to attend the G20 Summit, shared his concern and empathy for the horrific earthquake in Moroccan regions.

In a tweet posted from his flight, President Macron stated, "We are all deeply affected by the terrible earthquake in Morocco.

Therefore, France is ready to assist in the rescue operations."

Simultaneously, French Minister of Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna expressed her "solidarity with Morocco and the friendly Moroccan people."

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale, resulted in the destruction of buildings and forced residents of major cities to evacuate their homes, as reported by Reuters.

The Moroccan Ministry of Interior identified the earthquake's epicenter in the Al Haouz region, southwest of Marrakech.
