Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Manqoush, said that her discussions in Italy were characterized by seriousness on both sides.
Al-Manqoush added that the goal of her visit to Italy was to activate the Libyan-Italian friendship treaty signed in 2008.
In a statement, the Minister explained that during her visit she held talks with several Italian ministers. She pointed out that her meetings discussed the reopening of the Italian Consulate in Benghazi and the Honorary Consulate in Sebha to facilitate visa procedures and administrative procedures for the citizen.
Al-Manqoush noted that she agreed with the Italian officials on the date for the restoration of air navigation between the two countries.
According to the minister, It has also been agreed to direct implementation of the coastal road project which starts from Imsaad to Ras Ajdir to facilitate the transportation process and provide services between the east and west of the country.
