SEENews presents you the art of polymer clay for beginners in cooperation with an Egyptian pioneer polymer clay artist, Mervat Radwan, who is dubbed the “Ambassador of Polymer Clay” in Egypt and the Middle East.

Covered with Polymer Clay

Radwan represented Egypt in many international events with her creativity.

Moreover, she is also a great online teacher who offered polymer clay courses to students from Egypt and the Arab world.

Radwan welcomed her participation in the Polymer Clay arts education initiative and she did not hesitate to tell us the basics of this beautiful art, the ways to apply it as well as what tools needed to create this fine art.

She pointed out that the polymer clay is the thermal clay that does not dry in the air but dries with the heat.

Then, it is put inside the oven— after it is formed— at home; it can be used for amateurs and beginners.

Radwan stated that any tools available at home can be used without the use of professional tools as a first step.

* What can be made with polymer clay?

Radwan revealed: “We can make a stereoscopic rose that can be added on a hair tie, we make buttons, you can decorate mugs with mixing more than one color, you can make a heart for a pendant or earrings or, create a bookmark,”
