Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Sunday that the West's plans to supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets represented an "unacceptable" escalation.
Lavrov considered - in a statement reported by "Russia Today" channel - that the statement of chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, regarding Kiev's inability to recover the lost lands, is a step towards understanding the current situation.
In a related context, the Russian ambassador to London, Andrei Kelin, confirmed that the duration of the conflict in Ukraine depends on the extent of the "NATO" countries' escalation of incidents, particularly Britain, stressing Moscow's readiness for peace.
