Dmitry Peskov, press spokesman for the Russian presidency (the Kremlin), confirmed that "at the present time there are no reasons to conclude an agreement with Ukraine in the future, and therefore we will continue the military operation."
He added that his country wants to control, in the midst of the military operation in Ukraine, only the Ukrainian regions included in the constitution.
The "Kremlin" - according to its official website - announced that this came during an interview with Dmitry Peskov by the American newspaper "New York Times".
In response to a question about aspiration to annex new regions in Ukraine, Peskov said, "We have no plans for that, and we only want to control all the lands that we wrote in the Russian constitution that belong to us."
