The Asian Football Confederation (AFC), in coordination with the local organizing committee, announced on Monday the official match schedule for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, ten months ahead of the continent’s flagship tournament.
According to the AFC’s official website, the competition will run from January 7 to February 5, 2027, across three host cities, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.
The opening match and the final will be staged at King Fahd Sports City Stadium in the capital Riyadh.
The 72,000-seat stadium, the largest among the tournament’s eight venues, will also host four additional group-stage matches, including Saudi Arabia’s second fixture on January 12.
It is also scheduled to stage a Round of 16 match on January 24 and a quarterfinal on January 29, before culminating in the final one week later.
In Riyadh, King Saud University Stadium (26,000 capacity) will host five group-stage matches and a Round of 16 clash on January 25.
Kingdom Arena, with a similar 26,000-seat capacity, will stage four group matches, a Round of 16 fixture on January 22, and a quarterfinal on January 28.
Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University Stadium, which accommodates 25,000 fans, will hold five group-stage games and a Round of 16 match on January 23.
Meanwhile, Al-Shabab Club Stadium (13,000 capacity) is set to host four group matches and a Round of 16 fixture on January 22.
In Jeddah, King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, the second-largest venue with a 60,000-seat capacity, will stage five group matches, a Round of 16 tie on January 25, a quarterfinal on January 28, and a semifinal on February 2.
Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium (26,000 capacity) will host four group-stage matches and a Round of 16 fixture on January 24.
In Al Khobar, the newly developed Aramco Stadium, which will hold 45,000 spectators and is nearing completion, is set to host matches in every stage except the final.
The venue will stage four group games, a Round of 16 clash on January 23, a quarterfinal on January 29, and the first semifinal on February 1.
Match pairings and kick-off times will be confirmed following the final draw for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, scheduled to take place on April 11, 2026, in Diriyah.
