Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi met on Wednesday with his counterparts, Iraqi Fuad Hussein, and Egypt’s Sameh Shoukry, to discuss areas of trilateral cooperation, as well as ways to expand and integrate the strategic Egypt-Jordan-Iraq partisanship, according to a press release.

During the meeting, held in the Kingdom of Jordan, they reviewed the current and future priorities and areas of development cooperation between the three Arab governments, stressing the necessity to continue coordination on regional issues of common concern, especially the Palestinian cause.

In the same connection, Al-Safadi and Shoukry reiterated their countries' full support for Iraq's continued stability and sovereignty, saying that Iraq is a basic pillar for security and stability in the region.

Furthermore, they highlighted the need for increased cooperation in the areas with potential for joint action, especially in the economic, investment, industrial, security, and political fields.

The three high-ranking officials also agreed to arrange an action-oriented meeting of the Partnership in conjunction with the upcoming 4th summit, which will be held in Egypt next year.

The ministers also agreed to maintain institutional communication to follow up on the implementation of the projects held within the framework of their tripartite cooperation, so as to overcome the current economical barriers.

It's worth mentioning that the upcoming tripartite summit is scheduled to discuss cooperation and integration between the countries of the New Sham Structure and the promotion of peace and stability in the region.
