Italian Defense Minister Guido Cruzetto asked whether Washington's position on the Ukrainian crisis might change as it did on Afghanistan.
Commenting on the Ukrainian crisis, Guido Crozito said: "When they say that the conflict must end, I would say that someone should stop dropping bombs."
The Italian minister added that "There are those who assume that the political situation will not change, but we are building things as if We were looking for peace, we want peace at any cost, and if it does not come, we will continue to assist Ukraine as we are doing at the moment.
Cruzeto continued: "Let us ask ourselves whether the position of the United States may change within a year" regarding the crisis in Ukraine after the presidential elections.
He continued, "We do not want to find ourselves facing what happened, for example, in Afghanistan," adding: "This means, from my point of view, trying to reach an end to the conflict as soon as possible and searching for a peace table.
