Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has said on Friday that it is so early to talk about claiming Premier League trophy even if Liverpool manage to defeat holders Manchester City.

The Reds are set to host the Citizens on Sunday at Anfield as the Uefa Champions League winners will seek to attain the Premier League leadership with a nine-point difference from the City.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the iconic Egyptian star warned from saying that the title is over. "They were talking about that [title race] in December last year when we were six or seven points ahead saying it was over," Salah said.

He asserted that it is so early to say that Liverpool ensured claiming the title, saying that if his club troubled in only three games and the their opponent won, the Reds will lose the Premier League leadership.

"It's not over, it's three games. If you have a bad period you can be in trouble again," Mo asserted. "Even if we win it's still a long way, it's only November and way too early to talk about the Premier League," he explained during the interview.

He also noted that he does not concentrate on the fans' expectations, saying that if he cared about what people expect from him, his performance with the Reds would be very bad.

"I don't have to care about what people expect from me. That can put too much pressure on you and make you perform badly," Liverpool's star said.

He asserted that the most important thing for him is to score and lead his club to secure the victory in all the encounters.

"To be honest I don't care about what people expect from me. As long as I'm scoring and the team is winning it's fine," he concluded.
