The Israeli military has called for all residents and displaced individuals in areas east of Gaza City to evacuate, as airstrikes and artillery fire resulted in dozens of casualties across the region.

This demand was issued amidst an intensification of Israeli military operations in Gaza.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Israeli military spokesperson urged residents and displaced people in the neighborhoods of Shuja'iyya, Turkman, and Tuffah to evacuate immediately.

The post directed them to move south along Salah al-Din Street to a designated humanitarian zone, accompanied by a map outlining the evacuation areas.

Earlier that day, Israeli military vehicles made a limited advance into eastern Shuja'iyya, supported by heavy artillery and aerial bombardments, prompting a widespread exodus of residents.

Witnesses from Shuja'iyya described being caught off guard by the advancing tanks and the aerial attacks that followed the previous night's bombardment.

Israeli forces occasionally advance into different parts of Gaza to conduct military operations before retreating after a few hours or days.

Videos circulating on social media showed men, women, and children carrying bags and food, and running through the streets amidst the chaos. Some men were seen carrying injured children, some of whom were bleeding, as they fled.

Israeli airstrikes in eastern Gaza City and the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza have resulted in several Palestinian deaths and injuries.

According to medical sources, five Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an airstrike on a house in Shuja'iyya, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Additionally, several individuals were killed by Israeli artillery fire east of the Bureij camp.

In Deir al-Balah, one person was killed and two others injured by artillery fire while collecting wood. Three more were killed in Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City following airstrikes that destroyed four homes, with the civil defense reporting missing persons under the rubble.

In northern Gaza, eight Palestinians were killed in a bombing that targeted a gathering in the Jabalia refugee camp, and another was killed in an airstrike on a house in Beit Lahia.

Simultaneously, Israeli artillery shelled areas in Tal al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajlin in southwest Gaza City, as well as Wadi Gaza Bridge and east of Bureij camp, resulting in more fatalities.

A bombing targeting a school sheltering displaced individuals in Abasan, east of Khan Younis, led to additional deaths and injuries.
