According to the Irish Times, Martin emphasized that the visit comes at "a time of great danger" in the world.
He stated that the United States remains "an indispensable global partner and actor."
Martin expressed his eagerness to hold talks with President Trump on how Ireland, alongside its European Union partners, can collaborate with the U.S. administration to end conflicts and ensure peace, particularly in the Middle East and Ukraine.
In addition to geopolitical issues, the two leaders are also expected to discuss economic relations between Ireland and the United States, as well as matters concerning Northern Ireland.
