The Iraqi paramilitary group Alwiyat al-Waad al-Haq has claimed responsibility for the drone attack on the territory of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Al-Masdar online reported, citing a statement by the media center of the Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement, TASS reports.
The Houthis announced in a statement that the Alwiyat al-Waad al-Haq command claimed responsibility for the drone operation carried out on Wednesday morning in the direction of Emirates territory.
The UAE Ministry of Defense had previously announced the destruction of three drones intercepted in the country's airspace on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, the rebels issued a statement referring to four drones launched by an Iraqi organisation in the direction of the UAE.
Alwiyat al-Waad al-Haq, an Iraq-based pro-Iranian Kataib Hezbollah affiliate, claimed responsibility for one of the drone attacks on Saudi Arabia in late January.
