Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has a new book.

The book, titled “Subah Sham”, has offered in-depth explorations of the war in Syria and the position of Hamas and Turkey.

Here are some of the biggest revelations from the book:

During the Syrian crisis, Amirabdollahian pointed out that he held several meetings with the head of Hamas' political bureau Khaled Meshaal in his office in Doha.

In one of them, the minister told Meshaal: “You are one of the leaders of the resistance and understand the regional and international developments well and know that toppling Bashar al-Assad will not benefit the Palestinian resistance at all,".

“It is strange for us, and it is unfortunate, of course, that very few in Hamas have doubts about the future of Syria, and may turn away from Bashar al-Assad."

"You know the impact of this situation on the fate of Palestine. It is a big mistake and weakens the axis of resistance as if you are sitting inside the ship and puncturing it,” he added.

In turn, Meshaal praised Bashar al-Assad and thanked the Syrian government for hosting the Palestinian groups as best as possible. He said these remarks in private.

In a short time, Meshaal‘s views returned to the right and the exact path. However, this divergence of opinion and lack of proper understanding of political issues also affected Palestinians living hopelessly in refugee camps.

Some believed that removing Bashar al-Assad from power was possible, but after a while, these individuals thought he would not fall, while some understood that they acted in haste and that even if Bashar al-Assad had fallen, the Muslim Brotherhood would not be allowed to gain power in Syria.

The United States wanted the Turkish model to be the dominant model in the region during the period of the Arab revolutions for fear of relying on the Iranian model.

Although Iran had a contrary view of Ankara regarding the Syrian crisis, especially President Assad's future, it tried not to allow this difference in view to affect Iran's excellent relations with Turkey.

The Turkish government, which is inclined to Muslim Brotherhood ideology, had a new opportunity after MB members in Egypt and Tunisia rose to power, to play a role in the region more than they ever had before.

Turkey had a theory of promoting the idea of Turkey's return to the reach and power it was at the time of the Ottoman Sultanate in Sham, where the country was working under the title of an undeclared political strategy.

The Turks believed that given the changes in the region - the Arab Spring as they put it- and with the Brotherhood coming to power in Egypt and Tunisia, a new opportunity emerged that may form the ground for reviving the Ottoman Empire in another form in the Levant region.

The Americans wanted the Turkish model as if there were to be an Islamic system in these countries, women would be veiled, group prayers would be held, mosques would flourish, and preserve the Islamic appearance, but will also have nightclubs.

At the same time, it supports the Palestinians and Jerusalem as well as has relations with “Israel” and its embassy would be working for them.
