The Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Sunday that the Iranian naval frigate “Sahand” was involved in an accident in the port of Bandar Abbas in the south of the country.
On its part, Fars News Agency reported that an Iranian “Sahand”-class “Moj” frigate was involved in an accident near a maintenance complex near Bandar Abbas. The accident was likely caused by a defect in the ship's ballast tank or a water leak during the repair of the frigate's shaft.
Several people were injured in this incident and were taken to medical centers.
