Iran is set to engage in high-stakes nuclear negotiations with Britain, France, and Germany on November 29, according to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The talks, aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, will take place in Geneva and will involve the European Union as a mediator.

The discussions are a pivotal move in the ongoing efforts to revive the nuclear accord, which has been in limbo since the US withdrawal in 2018 under former President Donald Trump.

Trump's exit from the agreement led Iran to ramp up its nuclear activities beyond the agreed limits, further complicating international relations.

This round of negotiations will mark Iran's first nuclear talks since the election of President Masoud Pezeshkian, following the tragic death of former President Ebrahim Raisi in May.

Led by Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi, a seasoned nuclear negotiator, the Iranian delegation will discuss critical issues, including Iran's nuclear program, European sanctions on Iranian airlines and shipping, and rising tensions in the Middle East.

While the US and Russia are not part of this round of talks, China, along with Russia and the US, have been playing significant roles in shaping global dynamics related to Iran's nuclear ambitions.
