The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it targeted and killed 6 terrorists and arrested 2 others in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeast of the country.
The Guards explained - in a statement reported by the official IRNA news agency - that its forces, in cooperation with other security and intelligence forces in Iran, "successfully identified and destroyed two terrorist hideouts in northern and southern Sistan and Baluchestan."
The statement added that "six trained terrorists who were planning sabotage and terrorist operations were neutralized, and a number of others were arrested." Weapons, 25 kilograms of explosives, ready-to-detonate bombs, detonators, fuses, and communications equipment were also confiscated.
