A state of anxiety gripped the users of the “Instagram”, after a sudden malfunction struck the site during the past hours, as widespread logouts sparked a wave of reactions from users.
Downdetector, a platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services, received nearly 5,000 complaints, mainly centered around login difficulties and the inability to view stories.
“I thought I lost my Instagram account or someone hacked it,” the platform revealed some of the messages it received, before it became clear that Instagram was down.
This comes a few days after “Facebook” was down for hours, which led to a state of anxiety around the world, as well as huge losses for META.
Instagram has returned to work again, some time after complaints were submitted to the company during the past hours.
