India announced late Tuesday night that it had launched airstrikes targeting militant infrastructure inside Pakistan and in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
In an official statement, the Indian Armed Forces confirmed it had "carried out a precision strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan."
The statement added that the Indian military "initiated a targeted operation against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir."
According to the Indian government, the strikes targeted nine locations as part of "Operation Sindoor."
