Today, the authorities and people of India are celebrating the 75th Independence Day of their country.

On this date every year, the country celebrates 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' the Independence Day, by coming together and by thanking all their national heroes for bringing them the freedom that they are enjoying today.

In this regard, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag and addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi.

He took this occasion to confer words of praise upon their medical workers and express his gratitude to them for their dedicated service. However, with the COVID-19 Pandemic, the day holds a special significance considering the fact how their nation builders and medical staff are working round the clock to help the country fight the COVID-19.

Moreover, Modi honored 32 Olympic winners, 240 Olympians, and many COVID-19 warriors during the 75th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort on Sunday.

It's worth mentioning that the theme for this year's Independence Day is ‘Nation First, Always First’.
