Culture Min. to Honor Eugenio Barba in Sharm El-Sheikh

CAIRO, Feb. 26 (SEE)- The Minister of Culture will honor the Italian theatrical artist Eugenio Barba in the fourth Edition of International Youth Theater Festival in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The ceremony will be held on Monday, 1st April, and attended by Mazen El Gharbawi, the festival’s president, actress Samiha Ayoub, honorary president of the festival and super star Mohamed Sobhi .

Abdel Dayem stressed that Barba is one of the world’s leading theater actors. Barba has directed 77 spectacles, presented in 68 countries, published 24 theatrical book and got 15 honorable doctorates from the most important international universities around the world.

During his visit to Egypt, Barba will be accompanied by the artist Julia Farley and his wife.

This festival aims at promoting theatrical cultures, exchanging experiences.
