The Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram and the Chairman of the Stock Exchange (EGX) Mohamed Farid participated on Thursday in a symposium to introduce Egyptians expats to investment mechanisms in the stock market.
The symposium, which is second of its kind, was conducted virtually the Club House app. to introduce Egyptians abroad to the mechanisms of investment in the Egyptian capital market.
Makram said that a protocol was signed between the Ministry of immigration and the stock exchange to open a new field for Egyptians abroad to invest in their homeland.
She added that introductory videos and information about investment in the stock market are being published on the ministry's official pages on social networking sites.
On his part, Farid said that the EGX is working on persifying financial products and services, and looks forward to continuing to raise the level of coordination with the Ministry of Immigration to boost Egyptians' investments abroad in the stock market.
He stressed the interest in integrating Egyptians abroad into the Egyptian financial market, and for this reason a protocol was signed to inform Egyptians abroad of all the details of buying and selling securities.
With regard to investing in the Egyptian Stock Exchange, he explained that there are introductory videos on the official pages of the ministry on social media.
The induction campaign was launched at the beginning of the week, as well as responses to inquiries, which would give expats all the information about investing in the stock exchange.
