The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has agreed to extend the duration of the financial assistance program for Somalia to the next three years.
And the Somali News Agency (SUNA) reported today, Saturday, that the head of the International Monetary Fund's mission to Somalia,
Laura Jaramillo Mayor, said that the extension will allow time to confirm understanding of aid policies with the new government and confirm financing guarantees with partners for development.
Mayor added that the fund will work with the authorities to present a review of the ECF arrangement to the fund's executive office in the coming weeks.
