IMF Expects Egyptian Economy to Grow by 5.9% in 2025/2026

Experts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) expected the growth rate of the Egyptian economy to rise to 5.9% in 2025/2026.

The IMF added that Egypt’s budget revenues in the current fiscal year are expected to reach about 1.6 trillion pounds, increasing to 1.9 trillion pounds in the next fiscal year, to reach 2.2 trillion pounds in the next fiscal year. the fiscal year 2024/2025.

The IMF experts expected an increase in the growth rate of the Egyptian economy to 4% during the current fiscal year 2022/2023, then 5.3% in the next year, to reach 5.7% in the next fiscal year. To promote private sector-led growth and job creation.

Last month, the Executive Board of the IMF approved lending Egypt $3 billion within the framework of the Extended Fund Facility.

In its report, the IMF expected core inflation to decline to 7% by the fiscal year 2024/2025, and for the state budget to record a surplus of 2.1% of GDP
