Iconic Music Composer Helmy Bakr passed away, a few minutes ago, at the age of 86 years old, Mohamed Abdullah, the spokesperson of the Syndicate of Musicians announced.
In the same context, Veteran Singer Nadia Mostafa, a board member of the Musicians Syndicate, told media outlets that Bakr was transported to the ICU, this morning, after suffering from various medical complications like unstable activity of the kidneys, Dehydration, and others.
Mostafa also mourned the death of the iconic composer.
Born in 1937, Bakr presented about 1500 musical compositions, and he set the music for various leading artists like Laila Mourad, Warda, Nagat, Mohamed El Helw, Medhat Saleh, and Ali El Haggar.
He also introduced 48 musical plays like "My Fair Lady," "Mosiqa Fi El Hai El Shaabi," and "Hawadet."
In addition, he composed the music of one of the most iconic Operettas in Arab music history which is "El Helm El Arabi."
