Hurghada Int'l Airport Receive 1st Flight from Poland

The Hurghada International Airport received on Thursday the first flight from Poland, carrying 190 passengers, the Ministry of Tourism announced in an official statement.

The passengers were warmly welcomed in the airport, and the officials in the airport gifted them flowers and presents, alongside giving them journals about the city's famous destinations.

In addition, some traditional arts performances took place for welcoming the tourists.

It is worthy to mention that the Marsa Matrouh International Airport received the first flight coming from Milano, Italy, on Tuesday.It’s expected that the airport will receive at least a flight weekly from Italy, before the number of departed flights from the EU country to the Egyptian city increased to four weekly trips during the forthcoming summer season.

The crew of the airport received warmly the guests, and gifted them with flowers, and brochures about the city’s famous destinations, and historical sites.

In the same context, Cairo International Airport received the first direct flight from Poland after a 9-year of suspension.

Five weekly flights will be departed from the Polish capital airport to Cairo, according to local media agencies.

It is worthy to mention, the city of Marsa Alam south of the Red Sea is set to receive about 15,000 European tourists this week, starting from Saturday to Friday.

Operating schedules for arrival traffic at Marsa Alam International Airport revealed that the airport will receive 98 international European flights from Saturday until Friday.

These include the first Slovak tourist flight to the city, with 11 European countries organizing trips to Marsa Alam.

The airport will welcome the arrival of three flights from Belgium, five flights from the Netherlands, 17 Italian flights, and 16 flights from Germany.

The airport will receive the largest number of flights during the current week from Czech airports, with 29 flights, 21 flights from Poland, three from Switzerland, a flight from France, another from Luxembourg Airport and another from Romania.

The tourist movement coming to the Marsa Alam also witnessed an increase in the number of flights coming from Italy.

The total confirmed flights coming from Italian airports starting this week reached about 17 flights, and the number of flights coming from Poland and the Czech Republic increased.
