Hundreds of soldiers, reserve officers, veterans and veterinarians in the Israeli army set out on Wednesday morning to protest against the drastic changes that the government is planning in the judicial system.

The protesters consider Netanyahu’s plan as "a coup against the judiciary, destabilizing the pillars of democracy, and harming the capabilities of the Israeli army."

At the head of the march were a number of senior army and intelligence leaders, including the former Mossad chief, Tamir Pardo, the former deputy chief of staff of the Israeli army, Matan Vilnai, and the retired Major General Tal Rosso, who served as the commander of the southern command of the army and entered politics for a short period in 2019. Reserve officers with the rank of brigade.

Also participating in the march were former officers of the Air Force and the Navy, and officers of elite commando units and armored and artillery units.

The demonstrations will continue until Friday, from the Latrun area, where a memorial to the fighters from the armored corps is erected, to the headquarters of the Supreme Court in West Jerusalem.
