A fire has broken out at the luxury Chiltern Firehouse hotel and restaurant in London, a celebrity hotspot, with flames engulfing the historic building and forcing the evacuation of around 100 people, on Valentine's Day.
More than 100 firefighters and around 20 fire engines spent hours battling the blaze that engulfed the Chiltern Firehouse Hotel in Marylebone, the capital's fire brigade said.
The red brick building, a former fire station dating back to the late 19th century, is a favourite with celebrities, with stars including Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Tom Cruise among its customers.
The hotel was reportedly due to host a Netflix party after the Bafta awards ceremony on Sunday.
There were no reports of injuries and the fire was contained by late Friday, with owner André Balazs saying the venue would remain closed until further notice.
