Furthermore, many luxury fashion houses and big names are stepping up and helping out against the fight against the coronavirus.
Many fashion stores across the globe are shutting their doors temporarily in order to contain the spread of the virus.
On March 13, Glossier founder and CEO Emily Weiss announced that the company had made the “difficult decision” by closing all Glossier retail locations temporarily to help mitigate the spread.

Similarly, Nike has closed some of its branches across the globe.
On the other hand, the largest international fashion and beauty companies are pledging monetary assistance to the cause.
Luxury fashion conglomerate LVMH announced on March 16 that it will convert some of its facilities, including those that make products for "Dior" and "Givenchy", to producing hand sanitizer.
Earlier in March, Giorgio Armani donated USD 1.9 million to the Luigi Sacco and San Raffaele hospitals and the Istituto dei Tumori in Milan, as well as the Istituto Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome.
Furthermore, Donatella and Allegra Versace have both pledged over $350,000 to the intensive care department of San Raffaele hospital in Milan.

Also in Italy, one of the countries hugely affected by the global pandemic, Chiara Ferragni and her husband, Fedez, made a donation to the same hospital as Versace for the fund of more beds and urgent supplies.
Meanwhile, the Richemont, the Swiss luxury conglomerate which owns Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Chloe, has pledged 10 million renminbi ($1.4 million) to combat COVID-19.
On the other hand, luxury conglomerate Kering, which owns companies such as Gucci, Yves Saint Lauren, and Alexander McQueen, donated 7.5 million yuan ($1 million) to the Red Cross Society of China.
In addition, Hermès pledging to pay 5 million yuan ($711,278) to the China Soong China Ling Foundation.
Moreover, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana announced that their brand would donate for the support of research by professors at the Humanitas University in Italy who are seeking to find solutions to help fight the virus, Harper's Bazaar's Amy de Klerk reported in February.
