Egyptian actress Horeya Farghaly underwent Thursday a hysterectomy, a surgical procedure that removes the uterus.
After surgery, women can't become pregnant and no longer get their menstrual cycle. Reasons for this surgery include abnormal bleeding, uterine prolapse, fibroids, and cancer. Recovery usually takes four to six weeks, depending on the type of surgery they have.
In a statement to "Et bil Arabi", she provided a health update after undergoing the surgery.
Farghaly shared that she is currently feeling very tired and cannot speak. She reassured fans of her well-being and noted she is improving from time to time, explaining, "I was born again."
Farghaly, born on October 18, 1976, won the title of Miss Egypt in 2002.
In 2010, she made her acting debut in Khaled Youssef's "Kalemni Shokran" (Please Call Me).
The actress is best known for her roles in the TV series "Ayam" (2021), "Saherat Al Janoob" (2015), "Amrad Nesaa" (2014), "Bedoun Zikr Asma" (2013), “Hekayat Banat” (2012), “Sedna El Sayed” (2012), “Al Shawareh Al Khalfia” (2011), and in TV series "Dawaran Shubra" (2011).
Farghaly is also known for her roles in films such as "Estedaa Wale Amr (2019), "Talq Sina'iee" (2018), "Decor" (2014), "Salem Abu Okhto" (2014), "Al Qashash" (2013), "Qalb El-Assad" (2013), "Nazareyet Amity" (2013), "Helm Aziz" (2012), "Rad Fe'l" (2012), and "Abdo Motah" (2012).
IN 2022, the actress resumed her acting career after years of absence due to health problems. She had undergone several unsuccessful nose surgeries in the past nine years, which caused her to step away from acting and face many health problems, including breathing problems, changes in features to a large degree, and psychological problems.
