A few hours ago, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) dedicated its latest Friday Night SmackDown episode (25/8/2023) in memory of the late WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, and WWE Hall of Famer and Hardcore Legend Terry Funk.

Through this feature, you will come across the top and most special moments of the show.

Impressive Journey from Nexus to Heaven

The episode opened with a lovely and impressive video package that documented Wyatt's top moments like winning the WWE Universal title, winning the Elimination Chamber match, the Wyatt Family period, the debut of the Fiend, the Firefly Fun House, winning the tag team titles with Randy Orton, run with Alexa Bliss, moments with The Undertaker, the rocking chair, the lantern, 2022 return, and precious moments with family and friends.

Minute of Silence & 10-Bell Salute

WWE superstars, including producers, and officials stood together as a tribute to the late icons, and performed a minute of silence and a 10-bell salute.

The still-alive members of the known segments of the Wyatt Family Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman were among the performers of the heartbreaking event.

The segment ended with a zoom-in scene of Wyatt's famous rocking chair, empty, and alone.

Breathtaking Messages & Moments

During the episode, the WWE aired various vignettes for Wyatt's top moments, accompanied by QR Codes that went viral during WWE teases for Wyatt's return in 2022.

Moreover, WWE posted heartwarming messages posted by WWE superstars and Hall of Famers in memory of Wyatt like Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, LA Knight, Becky Lynch, John Cena, Ric Flair, Alexa Bliss, and The Rock.

Armbands

During the episode, various WWE Superstars wore armbands as a tribute to Wyatt and Funk like Rey Mysterio, and Bayley.

Zelina Vega wore headphones to recall the clues of the White Rabbit, and Strowman posted a Wyatt 6 logo.

Vega also paid various tributes during her match against Iyo Sky for the WWE Women's Championship to Wyatt, Funk, and the late Eddie Guerrero.

Mysterio did Wyatt's remarkable Clothline and Senton during his match against Grayson Waller.

He's Got the Whole World in his Hands

Hundreds of fans sang Wyatt's famous phrase and part of the theme songs "He's got the whole world in his hands."

In addition, The Street Profits' Montez Ford spoke to the camera, saying "We've got the whole world in our hands."

Cody Rhodes Sends Everyone in Tears

There is no doubt that Rhodes is among the top talkers in WWE and he was the only one who had the privilege to pay a tribute to both late icons.

During his speech, Rhodes talked about the memories between his father Dusty Rhodes, and Funk.

Touching Hardcore Package

WWE produced a lovely and impressive video package to illustrate the accomplishments of Funk in the world of Hardcore and pro wrestling.

The video featured various cameos for various WWE Superstars like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mike Foley, and Jerry Lawler

Terry Funk Hardcore Match

WWE presented a hardcore match in the theme of "Terry Funk Hardcore Match" between the Brawling Brutus and the Street Profits as a tribute to the late legend. The match was announced by Rhodes.

Bitter Reunion

The iconic Wyatt Family featured the leader Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman and Luke Harper (Brodie Lee).

Harper was released in 2019, and debuted at All Elite Wrestling in 2020, before his sudden death in 2020. This death impacted Wyatt's feelings as Harper was one of his closest friends.

During SmackDown's episode, Wyatt Family's White Sheep, and Black Sheep reunited together for the first time since the death of Harper and Wyatt.

Rowen was the only one besides Rhodes to participate in the tribute events of Harper and Wyatt.

L.A. Knight

L.A. Knight was a real star on that night. Knight was the final opponent who feuded against Wyatt and had together Wyatt's final televized and live show matches.

So, it was really great to see Knight main-eventing the tribute show of Wyatt, against Fin Balor who was the first opponent of Wyatt with his "The Fiend" persona.

During his speech, Knight mentioned his loss to Wyatt in their "Pitch Black Match," describing: "Sometimes, your greatest foes can turn out to be your greatest helpers."

The End, The Finale

After the main event, SmackDown episode closed in the best way ever to memorize the legend of Wyatt.

The lights went out like they did for the Fiend, the Fireflies were everywhere, and the Lantern was shown for the final time in the heart of the ring...

The lights went out, and he still has the whole world in his hands..
