The Higher Education Ministry held a press conference on launching one website for all the programs of ministry's missions and the development of work at the Central Administration for Missions.
Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that new specialties for the Egyptian missions had been added such as basic sciences, nanotechnology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, technology management, management of smart and sustainable cities, cybersecurity, information security, intelligent farming systems, artificial intelligence, data science, water technology, and nuclear energy.
Meanwhile, Head of the Central Department of Missions and Cultural Representation Haitham Hamza noted that there are 230 postdoctoral scientific missions, 295 external missions, 40 master scholarships, 655 joint supervision missions.
"The ministry funds the missions which is worth EGP1 billion as well as EGP600 million from the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr," Hamza stated.
He added that the fund for a postdoctoral mission could reach EGP4 million and EGP2 million for the joint supervision mission.
It is worth noting that Egypt has 25 cultural centers and offices abroad.
