Egyptian Co. For Metro Management & Operation announced on Thursday that the Ministry of Health provided some metro stations with vaccination spots.
Sadat metro station was the first metro station to have a vaccination spot, however, more vaccination points will be installed in several stations such as Al Shohadaa, Al Ataba, Shobra El Kheima, Koleyet El Zeraa'a (Faculty of Agriculture), Roud El Farag, New El Marg, Helwan, Al Sayeda Zainab, and others.
It is worthy to mention that Egypt’s Health Ministry reported on Wednesday 934 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total up to 340,269.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 19249 nationwide after the ministry announced 63 deaths.
About 627 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 284,993.
It is worth mentioning that, the peak of COVID-19 infections is expected to decline in the second half of this November, Hossam Hosny, head of the Scientific Committee to Combat Coronavirus at the Ministry of Health confirmed.
In press statements, Hosny added that the state provides 8 types of approved and effective vaccines, stressing that vaccination does not prevent infection with the virus, but rather reduces the risk of infection.
