Britain's Prince Harry revealed that his wife Megan Miracle has been exposed to offensive media campaigns aiming to destroy their relationship.
“When I got to meet Megan, I was terrified of her being driven away by the media. The same media that had driven so many other people away from me.”
He made these remarks in their much anticipated Netflix documentary series released on Thursday.
In the new series, Harry said both he and Meghan had "sacrificed everything", and that he was terrified of his wife being driven away by the media.
He continued: “Paparazzi used to harass us to the point where we had to be forced into smiling and answering questions to their traveling press pack. And that made me feel really uncomfortable from the get-go.”
"It’s my duty to uncover the “exploitation” and “bribery” that occurs within the system," Harry claimed.
He also talked about how it had impacted their relationship and ultimately led to their exit from official royal life.
Meanwhile, Markle claimed in the second episode of the documentary that paparazzi paid bribes to her neighbors in Toronto — where she filmed her show “Suits” in the early days of her relationship with Harry — to live-stream her backyard.
"Truth be told, no matter how I tried, no matter how good I was, no matter what I did, they were still going to find a way to destroy me," she said.
