Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim played a decisive role in FC Barcelona youth team’s qualification for the semifinals of the Champions Cup after scoring in a 3-0 victory over Tenerife in the second leg of the quarterfinals.
Barcelona overturned a two-goal first-leg defeat to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory and advance to the next stage of the competition.
Hamza Abdel Karim scored Barcelona’s second goal in the 62nd minute with a well-placed header that gave his side a crucial advantage during the match.
The Egyptian forward’s performance continued a strong run of displays with Barcelona’s youth side, further strengthening his chances of establishing himself within the club’s future plans.
The young striker had also started the first-leg match and played 77 minutes, where he nearly scored with an impressive bicycle kick that was brilliantly saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
