In a night full of surprises African Cup of Nations newcomers Madagascar drew with Guinea with two goals each in what can be described as the best match of the tournament so far.

After seeing Uganda upset DR Congo earlier in the day and Burundi fought hard against Nigeria, Madagascar came really close to upsetting Guinea, which is considered to be one of the top tier teams in the tournament.

Guinea opened the scoring in the 34th minute through a crazy goal by Suri Kaya, Anicet Abel equalized the scoring in the 49th minute. Carulos gave Madagascar the shocking lead in the 55th minute, before Guinea rebounded quickly with a penalty from Froncois Kamano.
