Groom Assaults Bride during Wedding in Ismailia

A video clip of a groom beating his bride after the wedding in one of Ismailia's streets sparked controversy among social media users.

The clip shows the bride after her groom assaulted her and fell to the ground and called the police.

Mansour Lashin, director of Ismailia security received a notification that a groom had assaulted his bride after she left the beauty center in the first district in Ismailia after the wedding.

Meantime, the father of the groom confirmed that the groom and the bride are cousins and that what happened was that the bride accidentally fell to the ground, completely denying that she had been beaten or insulted, as some mentioned.

Following the incident, social media users were surprised by a new video showing the groom and bride after taking a bath and having dinner in their apartment, after a family member said that she accidentally fell and that the husband didn't by any means insult her.

The groom's family stated that the newlyweds had a 13-year-old love story.
