Gold Prices Gold prices in local markets fluctuated during Monday's trading, as global bullion prices rose on the stock exchange to hover near their highest levels, amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

This is despite diminishing chances of the US Federal Reserve ending its tightening cycle and cutting interest rates in the middle of the current year.

Saeed Imbaby, executive director of the “iSagha” platform for gold and jewelry online trading, said that gold prices are instable in the local markets during today’s trading, as a gram of 21 karat gold recorded EGP 3280, while an ounce rose to $2358.

He added that a gram of 24-karat gold recorded EGP 3726, a gram of 18-karat gold recorded about EGP 2794, a gram of 14-karat gold recorded about EGP 2174 and a pound of gold recorded about EGP 26080.
