Moments ago, French Metal band Gojira became the first Metal band to perform at the Olympics Opening Ceremony.
The French group performed at the opening of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The band collaborated with opera singer Marina Viotti for an impressive performance under the direction of artistic director Thomas Jolly in the "Libertie" segment of the 12-segment show.
The members of the band stood individually in the windows of a castle to represent the beheading of Marie Antoinette.
The show included red streamers, synchronized smoke and fire.
2024 Olympic Games in Paris are running between July 26, and August 11.
