Acting Syndicate board member actress Nihal Anbar, addressed Saturday the rumors circulated about the health deterioration of veteran Egyptian actor Khaled Zaki.

In a statement, Anbar dispelled the rumors and noted he is fine.

"I contacted him by phone and he reassured me that he was in good health," she added.

Zaki was last seen in the third season of the acclaimed TV series “El Ekhteyar” (The Choice).

About 200 stars participated in the series including Ahmed El Sakka, Ahmed Ezz, Khaled El Sawy, Mahmoud El-Bezzawy, Bayoumi Fouad, Sabry Fawwaz, and others.

“El Ekhteyar 3” also features Karim Abdel Aziz reprising his role as Zakaria Younes from the previous season.

The new installment is scripted by Hany Sarhan and directed by Peter Mimi.

The series features true events for the first time about the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization’s brief rise to power in Egypt after the 2011 revolution and their overthrow.

It also follows the most dangerous 96 hours in the history of the country.

Zaki, born on February 22, 1950, graduated from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts and then worked in cinema and theatre.

He is best known for his roles in television series such as: “Al-dawaa’er Al-Moghlaka" (The closed circles), “Zaman al-Akweyaa (The Time of the Powerful), “Al-Shahd wal-Domou’ (Honey and tears), “Al-Dabaab” (The Fog), “Hubb bela Defaaf" (A Love with No Banks), and “Ennahom Yadfa’oun Al-Thaman” (They are Paying the Price).

The acclaimed actor is also known for films “Tabakh Al-Rais” (2008), “Fatah ‘Aynek” (2005), “El Shaytan El Awda” (2008), and “El Safara fi El Amara” (2005).
