On Tuesday, FIFA organized the draw of its FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah.
This edition will be the final one that includes only 8 teams, before its extension to 32 teams, starting from next year.
Moreover, Manchester City will participate in the tournament for the first time. The Citizens qualified for the tournament as a result of winning the UEFA Champions League back in June.
Al Ahly, the winners of the CAF Champions League, will face the winners of the opening round between Auckland City, and the Saudi Ittihad Jeddah.
The FIFA Club World Cup sees the winners of the UEFA Champions League, Oceania Champions League, Asian Champions League, CONCACAF Champions League, African Champions League, Copa Libertadores, and Saudi Arabian National League all compete against one another.
The competition is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia between December 12th and December 20th.
Manchester City will join the tournament at the semi-final stages.
