Get to Know CIBF 54 Activities for Friday

The Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) continues its cultural activities after opening its doors to the public on Thursday, January 26. Here is tomorrow's, Friday, program. 

Salah Jahin Hall

At 2 pm: Salah Jahin Quartins 

The guests will be Abdel Sattar Salim, Mohamed Boghdadi, and Mounir Al Wassimi. The discussion will be moderated by May Mansour.

At 4 pm: We..Heritage

The guests will be Abdel Rahim Al Kurdi, Abdullah Al Ghadhami (KSA), and Mohamed Hassan Abdullah. The session will be moderated by Mahmoud Al Daba. 

At 6 pm: An interview with the Minister of Religious Endowments Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa. The interview will be hosted by Hassan Madany.

Storytelling Workshops Corner

1 pm - 2 pm: Story from Children's Paintings Initiative.

Author Al Sayed Ibrahim will represent "Lemadha Yaferon Meni?" book. The paintings were done by Ahmed Al Hadad.

2 pm - 3 pm: A meeting with the winners of The Young Creator, and the representation of Hana Ahmed Al Sayed's "Moghamarat Al Dob Al Kaslan Maa Al Atfal."

4 pm - 5 pm: the representation of "Shakhseyat Masriya" book by Abdo Al Zaraa'.

5 pm - 6 pm: a session about "Hikayat Kalila Wa Dimna" book by Hossam Al Din Farouk, in addition, a number of actors and artists will participate at the session such as Dr. Amr Khalil and Hend Hosny.

Workshops Corner

1 pm - 2 pm: From Every Country a Story 

Amal Gamal will present tomorrow's session

2 pm - 3 pm: Dream for Tomorrow: An Initiative for Children of Determination Engagement in Cultural Activities. 

The session will be presented by Mahmoud Omar.

3 pm - 4 pm: Fatma Wahidi will present a storytelling workshop.

4 pm - 5 pm: Storytelling workshop about manners by Fatma Fouad.

Green Workshops at the General Book Authority Pavillion 

1 pm - 3 pm: Handmade works from beads, and making crafts from eco-friendly material

2 pm - 5 pm: A workshop for learning Egyptian hieroglyphs drawing.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and the Minister of Culture Dr. Neven El Killany inaugurated the 54th Cairo International Book Fair.

The 54th edition takes place under the theme of "Egypt's Name- Together: Read, Think, Create."

Iconic late poet Salah Jahin is the figure of the CIBF, and author Kamil Kilany is the children's fair figure. Moreover, Jordan is the 54th edition guest of honor.

1047 publishers are participating in the event from 53 countries.

This edition will also present 500 various activities in seven halls at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo.

The working hours for Thursdays and Fridays will be between 10 am and 9 pm.

A number of buses are dedicated to being in the service of the CIBF visitors, in addition, the buses will depart from different squares and areas in Cairo.

The activities of the CIBF 54 will kick off between January 25 and February 6 at Egypt International Exhibition Center.
