Ahmed, son of veteran actor Abdel Rahman Abou Zahra, shared Saturday an update on his father's health after undergoing major surgery.
In a statement, he noted that his father had nearly completely replaced the pelvic region and reassured fans that the surgery was completed successfully.
“He is currently in the intensive care unit,” the actor’s son added.
The acclaimed actor had recently suffered a health scare that required him to be hospitalized in an ICU in a local hospital to follow up on his health condition.

Abou Zahra, born in 1934, is one of the major stars of his generation. He starred in more than 398 distinguished film and TV productions.
