The German handball team visited on Thursday the Giza Pyramids and the October War Panorama museum.
This came during their stay for the 27th IHF Men’s World Championship, which takes place in Egypt from January 13 to 31.
During the visit, the team members showed a genuine admiration for the pyramids, being one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
They also took photos at the Panorama museum, while adhering to the precautionary measures and health safety controls, prescribed by the International Handball Federation (IHF) for the members of the participating teams and those who are visiting archaeological sites and museums in Egypt.
Congo men's national handball team also visited the Pyramids.
The visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ participation in this tournament by presenting some tourism programs for the teams participating in the tournament and for the masses of fans who will come from abroad.
Members of the French, Swiss and Japanese handball teams have also visited the Pyramids, and posted photos on their accounts on social media, which strongly promotes tourism in Egypt.
